CIMC Modular Building Systems, the modular construction business of CIMC Group, has officially shipped the modular units for Earth Hotels Riyadh, marking its first hospitality project in the Middle East. Manufactured at the company’s production facility in Jiangmen, China, the project comprises 104 fully finished volumetric modules, which will be transported to Riyadh and assembled on site into a permanent boutique lifestyle hotel. Scheduled to open in early 2027, Earth Hotels Riyadh demonstrates how industrialized construction can help hospitality developers achieve greater delivery certainty, consistent quality and lower environmental impact. One of the notable developments was the growing adoption of environmentally conscious materials and designs. Several exhibitors showcased pens manufactured with PLA biobased materials derived from renewable plant resources such as corn. Under industrial composting conditions, these materials can biodegrade, offering an alternative to conventional plastics. Other exhibitors introduced ballpoint pens made from 100% recycled ocean plastic. Equipped with Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification, these products significantly reduce carbon emissions compared with traditional alternatives while meeting rising demand for sustainable consumer goods.

XCMG has accelerated equipment deliveries and deployments in Angola, Southeast Asia, South America and Mozambique, supporting road construction, lifting, aerial access and green mining projects. Deliveries include more than 100 units of integrated road construction equipment in Angola, nearly 300 crawler cranes across Southeast Asia and 80 aerial work platforms in South America. In Mozambique, XCMG delivered an integrated road construction solution and deployed a fully electric mining excavator, highlighting its broad portfolio and localized service capabilities.
Representing an investment of approximately USD 310 million (BRL 1.5 billion), the factory is LG’s second home appliance production base in Brazil, joining the Manaus plant in Amazonas, which began operations nearly three decades ago. The new facility spans an area of approximately 770,000 square meters and has an annual production capacity of approximately 600,000 refrigerators, equivalent to one unit every 14 seconds.
